She sat in silence, staring out
She wanted so much to scream and shout
But she just sat there, looking through
To the place that's foreign and new
So as they drove the landscape changed
Past the lights of the city lanes
Horses, cows and grass galore
Buildings and cars she wanted more
Her friends and family she longed for still
As she gazed out past the water mills
She listened to the sighing wind
While keeping her thoughts deep within
She sat in silence, staring out
She wanted so much to scream and shout
But she just sat there, looking through
To the place that's foreign and new
The sun was setting as they screeched to a stop
